Asparagus!
Spring Flings!
This week is all about asparagus. There’s just something about the first truly fresh spring asparagus that can’t be beat! And to celebrate the season, this week’s recipe keeps it simple: roasted asparagus with Stock+Spice Sumac and Friends seasoning Recipe Below. The bright, citrusy notes of the sumac pair beautifully with tender spring asparagus.

So simple and so delicious! The special secret is the sumac that makes the asparagus sing!
Spice profile: aleppo pepper, ancho and pasitals, paprika, onion, garlic, black and green peppercorns, sumac, marjoram, thyme, coriander, rosemary, salt
Ingredients:
About 1 lb fresh asparagus
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons Stock+Spice Sumac and Friends Seasoning
Instructions:
Prep the Asparagus
Rinse the asparagus and snap off the tough ends - they’ll naturally break right where the stems become tender.
Season
Place the asparagus in a baking dish. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil and 2 teaspoons Stock+Spice Sumac and Friends seasoning. Toss well to coat evenly.
Roast
Spread the asparagus onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Roast in a 400°F oven for 10 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.
Serve
Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Enjoy this simple, bright spring dish!
