Spice Profile: Aleppo pepper, garlic, shallots, urfa biber pepper

This one is beautifully simple.

Take about 1 pound of asparagus and give it a rinse. Trim the ends by either snapping off the tough bottom portion or using a vegetable peeler to shave the bottom couple of inches until you see the lighter green beneath.

Toss the asparagus with a little olive oil and salt, then spread it on a baking sheet and roast in a 400°F oven for about 25 minutes, until tender.

While the asparagus is roasting, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan. As it begins to brown, add the spice packet (2 tsp Stock+Spice Roasted Asparagus Seasoning) and let the spices fry in the butter for about 20 seconds then remove from heat, (the spices will continue to fry for a bit).

When the asparagus is done, transfer it to a plate and pour the spiced brown butter over the top. Add salt to taste and enjoy.

Enjoy!
