Meadow's Mirth, a certified Organic farm, is offering CSA shares for the 2008 growing season!
How it works!
Community supported Agriculture is a system in which members purchase "shares" of vegetables before the season begins. This helps the farmers when they need it most - seed purchasing time. In exchange for their support, members come to the farm weekly to receive produce throughout the growing season.
What will be in my weekly pickup?
In the spring there will be lots of greens- salad eating time! In the summer produce becomes more varied - beans, big ripe tomatoes, and garlic. Fall brings pumpkins, potatoes, and sweet cold weather greens. It is quite possible that no two pickups will be alike, however, it is our goal to make sure that produce is spread evenly throughout the growing season.
Know your food, know your farmer.
In addition to favorite vegetables, we enjoy growing unique and heirloom varieties as well. Joining a CSA is a way to get involved with local agriculture and the joys of seasonal eating.
Pickups:
Pickups will be Tuesdays from 3:00-6:00pm, June-October at our farm in Stratham, NH.
What does a share consist of?
- A share consists of a fresh bouquet of flowers (in season), and vegetables ample for 2-4 people depending on vegetable consumption.
- All CSA members will also have access to the "pick your own garden" featuring culinary herbs.
